Pensée pour ce matin:

It is written:

I am Adonai your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the abode of slavery. You are to have no other gods before me.” (Exodus 20:2-3)

(Exode 20:2-3)

Adonai-Elohim (YHWH) the God of Avraham, the God of Yitz’chak, the God of Ya‘akov, the God and Father of the Messiah Yeshua, our Lord, is our One True God.

He is “THE ONE” who has made known His Victory; revealed His vindication in full view of the nations (Psalm 98:2). His Victory is His Beloved Son: the Jewish Messiah Yeshua.

With the first commandment, God was establishing the fact that He is our God and was showing us His place in our lives: Let us put God (YHWH) in His rightful place and make Him number-One in our life.

Through His Beloved Son Yeshua the Messiah, ELOHIM (YHWH), His God and Father, our God, is “THE ONE” who has brought us, Jews and non-Jews, to Himself, from the enslavement to sin, to be His People, His Isra’el.

Yeshua the Messiah our Lord, is our leader divinely appointed by God who has made Him both Lord and Messiah (Acts 2:36); He never taught His disciples to break the commandments. He never told them to abandon the Torah of our God and to not live by His rulings. (i.e: establishing Sunday as the new Sabbath, as opposed to the Biblical seventh day Sabbath).

Yeshua lived as a Jew in His time, and He observed the Jewish festivals and holidays and He kept the commandments and in particular the first one (Mark 12:29).

In our union with Yeshua the Messiah, our Lord, let us embrace our new spiritual identity and enjoy our Jewish roots!

About Jacques Guillard

It is not that I have already obtained it or already reached the goal — no, I keep pursuing it in the hope of taking hold of that for which the Messiah Yeshua took hold of me.
