It is written:
“But you,” he said to them, “who do you say I am?” (Matthew 16:15)
This Blog is in response to one of my reader who is asking about the Messiah.
First, let us give thanks to ADONAI (YHWH), the God of Isra’el, our God, for giving to us “the foreigners” an opportunity to join His Spiritual Isra’el, through our union with His Beloved Son Yeshua the Messiah (the one I used to call Jesus due to misconceptions obscuring His True identity).
ADONAI (YHWH) is the God of Isra’el, our ONE and ONLY TRUE God.
Yeshua the Messiah is not YHWH. He is the Son of God, our Jewish Messiah, our lord, who is anointed by His God and Father, our God, the God of Isra’el, to be “The Instrument of our Salvation” and to fulfill the expected functions of His office of Ministry.
What do we know so far about Yeshua, our Jewish Messiah, “The Son of God”:
Yeshua was and is a Jew. He was born a Jew, He lived as a Jew and He died a Jew (John 19:40). Yeshua was a Rabbi (John 1:38), a Torah observant Jew and He taught His followers to be Torah observant (1 John 3:4; Matthew 5:17-19). He did not come to destroy the Torah but to fulfill the Torah.
He was born of the seed of David and in the city of David which is called Bethlehem, as it was written: “But you, Beit-Lechem near Efrat, so small among the clans of Y’hudah, out of you will come forth to me the future ruler of Isra’el, whose origins are far in the past, back in ancient times.” (Micah 5:1)
Yeshua was circumcised the eighth day as is the custom for the birth of a Jewish boy. His name is Yeshua which in Hebrew means “ADONAI Saves”.
Yeshua was born a Jew as God instrument of Salvation for the world and to be the Messiah of the ALL House of Isra’el (which include ALL of us, Jews and non-Jews united to Yeshua the Messiah. Halleluyah !)
Why is His Name so important? Because His name was given to represent His character, His identity, His purpose and His destiny. His Name represents who He is to be. As it is written: “She will give birth to a son, and you are to name Him Yeshua, [which means ‘ADONAI Saves,’] because He will Save His people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21)
ADONAI (YHWH), our God, is “The One” who will give to Yeshua the throne of his forefather David; and he will rule the House of Ya‘akov forever — there will be no end to his Kingdom. (Luke 1:31-33)
But for the moment Yeshua is our High Priest, so for us whom God has set apart, who share in the call from heaven, let us think carefully about Yeshua, whom we acknowledge publicly as God’s emissary and as cohen gadol. (Heb. 3:1).
The man Yeshua the Messiah is the ONLY MEDIATOR between the God of Isra’el, our God, and man (1 Timothy 2:5); His death sets us free from our transgressions, so all of us, Jews and non-Jews, who have been called, may receive the promised eternal inheritance (Hebrews 9:15).
True Freedom is available to everyone through the death and resurrection of the Jewish Messiah Yeshua, our Lord.
ADONAI (YHWH), the God of Isra’el, our God, is our Saviour (Isaiah 43:1-3). There is no other God besides Him (Deuteronomy 6:4); He is our Only Just God and Saviour; It is Him who is God and there is none besides Him (Isaiah 45:21-22). His Beloved Son Yeshua the Messiah, our Lord, is His instrument of our Salvation.
Yeshua the Messiah, is the Faithful Witness, the Firstborn from the dead and the Ruler of the earth’s kings (Revelation 1:5). He has freed us from our sins at the cost of His blood, and made of us a kingdom, that is, cohanim for ADONAI(YHWH), His God and Father (Revelation 1: 6)
Yeshua the Messiah did not come to destroy the Torah but to fulfill the Torah, so in our union with the Messiah, let us embrace the Jewish roots of our faith.
“Jews and non-Jews” we are united in the Messiah! In the Messiah we are ONE! We are ONE Family, “The Family of God”, “The Spiritual Isra’el” of God! Glory to God!
Let us give thanks to ADONAI (YHWH), the God of Isra’el, our God, who pour out His Spirit (The Ruach HaKodesh) in our lives to bring restoration, reconciliation and unity to both the Jews and non-Jews through our union with His Son Yeshua the Messiah.
Yeshua the Messiah, by His death, has created in union with Himself from the two groups a single new humanity and thus make Shalom, and has reconciled us to ADONAI (YHWH), His God and Father, both in a single Body (Ephesiens 2: 15-16).
Now in our union with the Messiah, we are fellow-citizens with God’s people and members of God’s Family. We have been built on the foundation of the emissaries and the prophets, with the cornerstone being Yeshua the Messiah Himself (Ephesians 2:19-20); Jews and non-Jews, we have equal rights and privileges, heirs of the same promises. We are new creations. And from there, ADONAI (YHWH), our God and Father give His calls and vocations.
Yes, in union with Yeshua the Messiah, we are, Jews and non-Jews, being built together into a spiritual dwelling-place for our God! May the Ruach HaKodesh (The Spirit of God) help us to realize and take it all by Faith and to enter into the Plan of God by Faith.
We have been blinded for so long! May ADONAI (YHWH), our God, through His Spirit lead us, turn darkness to light before us, and straighten our twisted paths. Let us trust Him for we know that He will do without fail and He will not forsake us (Isaiah 42: 16)
As for us let us not forsake our God and His Torah, for He was pleased, for His righteousness’ sake, to make the Torah great and glorious (Isaiah 42:21). We know that the Torah is good, provided one uses it in the way the Torah itself intends (Timoty 1:8) in accord with the Good News of our Glorious and Blessed God.
ADONAI (YHWH), our God, is our Deliverer; He wants all humanity to be Delivered and come to full knowledge of the Truth. For God is One; and there is but One Mediator between God and humanity, Yeshua the Messiah, himself human, who gave Himself as a ransom on behalf of all, thus providing testimony to God’s purpose at just the right time (1Timothy 1:3-6) .
Yes, may ADONAI (YHWH), our God turn darkness to light before us, and straighten our twisted paths. May the Grace, Mercy and Shalom of our God and Father be upon us and may ALL His Truth dwells in our heart.
“SHALOM ALEIKHEM !” to ALL who belong to the Jewish Messiah Yeshua, our Lord.
