It is written:
“He gave himself up on our behalf in order to free us from all violation of Torah and purify for himself a people who would be his own, eager to do good.” (Titus 2:14)
The Kindness and Love for mankind of ADONAI (YHWH), the God of Isra’el, our God, our Deliverer, were revealed through His Beloved Son, the “Jewish Messiah Yeshua”, our Lord.
Yeshua the Messiah, our Lord, gave Himself up on our behalf in order to free us from all violation of the Torah (not from the blessings of the Torah) and purify for Himself a people, so that together, Jews and non-Jews, we might constitute a People who would be His own (Titus 2:14) . He took on Himself the full measure of the curse that was meant for us, accepting the penalty for our sins.
We regarded Him as punished, stricken and afflicted by God, but in fact, it was our diseases He bore, our pains from which He suffered; He was wounded because of our crimes, crushed because of our sins; the disciplining that makes us whole fell on Him, and by His bruises we are healed (Isaiah 53:4-5)
The Messiah Yeshua, our Lord, redeemed us from the curse pronounced in the Torah by becoming cursed on our behalf; for the Tanakh says, “Everyone who hangs from a stake comes under a curse” (Galatians 3:13).
There on the execution stake, Yeshua the Messiah, our Lord, took all of our curses so that we could experience His blessings. Now in our union with Him, we are no longer alienated from ADONAI (YHWH), His God and Father, our God, and we have His Torah inscribed on our hearts (Jeremiah 31:32(33)), not through external laws on stone tablets, but internally in our very souls.
As the Beloved Son of God, the Perfect Isra’el, through whom ADONAI (YHWH), our God, is showing His Glory (Isaiah 49:3), the Jewish Messiah Yeshua, our Lord, came to Love, Heal and Forgive. He lived and died to buy our pardon; that does not mean we can now turn our backs on the Torah.
Let us continue to expect the blessed fulfillment of our certain hope, which is the appearing of the Sh’khinah of ADONAI (YHWH), our great God, and the appearing of our Deliverer, Yeshua the Messiah.
