It is written:
“I will put my Spirit inside you and cause you to live by my laws, respect my rulings and obey them.” (Ezekiel 36:27 Complete Jewish Bible)
Shavuot, what an awesome event in history! YHWH, the Elohim of Isra’el, our Elohim and our Father, gave us two of His most priceless gifts on this day: the Torah (at Mount Sinai) and the Ruach HaKodesh (His Spirit), after Yeshua HaMashiach, our Master, left this earth.
We need both the Truth and the Ruach HaKodesh. The Torah is the Word of Truth, but it is the Ruach HaKodesh (The Spirit of YHWH) that gives us the Grace to live out that Truth in our daily lives.
While keeping the Torah is not how we are saved, we nevertheless strive to live holy lives. That holiness leads us to love, which is the whole point of the Torah.
Through our union with Yeshua HaMashiach, we have received YHWH’s Promise that He will work a good work in us, to qualify us for the good work He intended to bring about for us.
Receiving the Torah through our union with the Messiah Yeshua mean not only accepting the Privilege of Living as YHWH’s set apart People; it also mean accepting the Responsibility.
Now that YHWH has given us the Torah, He has entrusted us with a sacred mission — to spread its light to all the nations. The Torah is the standard of behavior or code of conduct for both the “native born Israelite” and for us “the stranger” who are coming to join them (Numbers 15:16).
Today, so few of the “native born Israelite” know Yeshua or the Ruach HaKodesh, let us make a difference. As with the first Believers, may the Ruach HaKodesh transform us from the inside out, empowering us to reach Israel and the nations with the Good News of Yeshua HaMashiach.
As followers of Yeshua HaMashiach, our Master, may the Ruach HaKodesh empower us to live a holy, Spirit-led life and be Yeshua’s witnesses both in Yerushalayim (Jerusalem), in all Y’hudah (Judea) and Shomron (Samaria), indeed to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8)!
Let us Pray that at this Shavuot, YHWH will send forth more labourers into the harvest fields of Israel and that the harvest of souls into His Kingdom will be plentiful!
“SHALOM ALEIKHEM !” to ALL, Jews and non-Jews, who belong to the Messiah Yeshua. May our Shavuot be filled to overflowing with the Ruach HaKodesh (The Spirit of YHWH). May each of us be transformed by His Power, Love, Mercy and Forgiveness, and extend the Grace we have experienced to those around us.
