It is written:
“How I love your Torah! I meditate on it all day. I am wiser than my foes, because your mitzvot are mine forever…Your word is a lamp for my foot and light on my path.” (Psalm 119:97-98, 105 Complete Jewish Bible)
The Torah is YAHWEH’s instruction to His People. These instructions teach us how to live on this earth and point us to Eternal Life through Yeshua Ha-Mashiach.
The Word of YAHWEH, is a lamp and a light. It discovers to us, concerning YAHWEH and ourselves, that which otherwise we could not have known; it shows us what is amiss, and will be dangerous; it directs us in our work and way, and a dark place indeed the world would be without it.
It is a lamp which we may set up by us, and take into our hands for our own particular use, as it is written: “For the mitzvah is a lamp, Torah is light, and reproofs that discipline are the way to life.” (Proverbs 6:23).
The Word of YAHWEH, the Elohim of Isra’el, is a light to our feet and to our path, to direct us in the right ordering of our conversation, both in the choice of our way in general and in the particular steps we take in that way, that we may not take a false way nor a false step in the right way.
So let us follow all the Torah which was fulfilled by Yeshua Ha-Mashiach, and ordered us to follow; for Yeshua the Messiah, our Friend and Master, delivered us from the curse of the Torah but not from the Torah itself. He did not come to abolish the Torah of Moses or the writings of the prophets; He came to fulfill the Torah (Matthew 5:17). Yeshua is the Living Torah, the Living Word of YAHWEH.
In our union with the Messiah Yeshua, let us not turn from it either to the right or to the left; then we will succeed wherever we go. Yes, let us keep this book of the Torah on our lips, and meditate on it day and night, so that we will take care to act according to everything written in it. Then our undertakings will prosper, and we will succeed.
The Torah contains all the wisdom and instruction we need to live healthy, happy, successful, prosperous lives.
For us, Jews and non-Jews Believers in the Messiah Yeshua, on this festive holiday of Simchat Torah (Joy of the Torah), let us display our gratitude to YAHWEH for giving us the Great gift of His Word, and for giving us His Beloved Son, the Hebrew and Jewish Messiah Yeshua who PERFECTLY embodied YAHWEH‘s teachings and is “The ultimate fulfillment” of the Torah.
“SHALOM ALEIKHEM !” to ALL the Isra’el Family, Jews and non-Jews who belong to the Hebrew and Jewish Messiah Yeshua, our Friend and Master. Blessings on Simchat Torah! Let us be Truly sensible of YAHWEH’s goodness to us in giving us such a lamp and light when we make it a guide to our feet, to our path.
