It is written:
“Because he lives forever… consequently, he is totally able to deliver those who approach God through him; since he is alive forever and thus forever able to intercede on their behalf.” (Hebrews 7:24-25 Complete Jewish Bible)
Yes, the “Hebrew and Jewish” Messiah Yeshua is TOTALLY ABLE to DELIVER those who approach YAHWEH, the Elohim of Isra’el, the KING of the Universe, through him.
As it is written: “There isn’t a righteous person on earth who does [only] good and never sins” (Ecclesiastes 7:20); sin is violation of Torah (1 John 3:4). No matter how hard we try to be “good enough,” we always fall short of YAHWEH‘s standards of perfection.
For us, as sinners (unfortunately this day, even the basic concept of sin seems antiquated, but the fact is that the problem of sin is just as real today as it was in the time of Moshe), we need a Cohen Gadol (High Priest) to make satisfaction and intercession for us. Yeshua the Messiah is exactly such a Cohen Gadol as we need, for he has a personal holiness, ABSOLUTELY PERFECT.
The “Hebrew and Jewish” Messiah Yeshua is “The One” who died for sins, once and for all, a Righteous person on behalf of unrighteous people, so that he might bring us to YAHWEH, his Elohim and Father (1 Peter 3:18). Now for us, Jews and non-Jews Believers in the Messiah Yeshua, in our union with him, though our sins were like scarlet, they are now white as snow (Isaiah 1:18).
No One could have been (and could be) suitable or sufficient for our RECONCILIATION to YAHWEH, as our Elohim and AVINU SHE-BA-SHAMAYIM (Heb. אָבִינוּ שָׁבַּשָׁמַיִם; “Our Father in Heaven”), but the “Hebrew and Jewish” Messiah Yeshua who was (and is) Perfectly Righteous in his own person; he had to be Righteous in himself, or he could not have been a Propitiation for our sin, or our Advocate with the Father.
Yeshua Ha-Mashiach became our Cohen Gadol (High Priest), and was consecrated by the word of the oath which YAHWEH swore when He said about him: “You are a Cohen FOREVER, to be compared with Malki-Tzedek” (Psalm 110:4).
The Messiah Yeshua has not only an immutable consecration to his office, but an immutable sanctity in his person. He is the kind of Cohen Gadol (Jewish High Priest) that meets our need — holy, without evil, without stain, set apart from sinners and raised higher than the heavens; one who does not have the daily necessity, like the other cohanim g’dolim (other high priests), of offering up sacrifices first for their own sins and only then for those of the people; because he offered one sacrifice, ONCE and for ALL, by offering up himself (Hebrews 7: 26-27).
“SHABBAT SHALOM!” to ALL the Isra’el Family, consisting of those who have been set apart, Jews and non-Jews, by Yeshua the Messiah and called to be YAHWEH’s holy people.
For us, Jews and non-Jews Believers in the “Hebrew and Jewish” Messiah Yeshua, we are the seed of Isra’el, as we have the Great Privilege to be united with him; in that rests our Hope of Glory! (Colossians 1:27-28). Yes, Let us Proclaim him!
