Pensée pour ce matin:

It is written:

“The festival of Shavu‘ot arrived, and the believers all gathered together in one place. Suddenly there came a sound from the sky like the roar of a violent wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then they saw what looked like tongues of fire, which separated and came to rest on each one of them.  They were all filled with the Ruach HaKodesh and began to talk in different languages, as the Spirit enabled them to speak.” (Acts 2:1-4 Complete Jewish Bible)

The origins of Shavu ‘ot (Festival of Weeks) taking place 50 days after Pesach (following the Greek word for “fifty” (Pente), Shavu ‘ot is also referred by some as Pentecost) are to be found in an ancient grain harvest festival, but also has long been identified with the giving of the Torah on Mount Sinai, with Israel entering into a Covenant with YAHWEH, the KING of the Universe.

It is also the beginning of YAHWEH’s Promise: “I will put my Spirit inside you and cause you to live by my laws, RESPECT my rulings and OBEY them.” (Ezekiel 36:27 Complete Jewish Bible).

YAHWEH does not force men to walk in His statutes by external violence, but causes them to walk in His statutes by an internal principle. YAHWEH’s Promises must drive us to His Precepts as our rule, and then His Precepts must send us back to His Promises for strength, for without His Grace we can do nothing.

Just as the harvest of firstfruits is a tremendous blessing and gift from YAHWEH, the Elohim of Isra’el, the KING of the Universe, our Elohim and AVINU SHE-BA-SHAMAYIM (Heb. אָבִינוּ שָׁבַּשָׁמַיִם; “Our Father in Heaven”), providing for our physical needs, how much more are the Torah and the Ruach HaKodesh (The Spirit of YHWH), which enable us to reap a harvest of righteousness.

The celebration of the giving of the Torah and the Ruach HaKodesh on the same day, as well as the offering of thanksgiving to YAHWEH for the first fruits, reveals something wonderful about YAHWEH‘s priorities.

YAHWEH, our AVINU MALKENU (Heb. אָבִינוּ מַלְכֵּנוּ; “Our Father, our King”), wants us to know His Ways and be empowered by His Ruach HaKodesh to live holy lives, bearing much fruit in Him.

The Ruach HaKodesh is the “Promised Spirit”, and his Gracious influences and operations, which we have as much need of for our sanctification as we have of the Messiah Yeshua’s merit for our Justification.

YAHWEH had Promised that He will work a good work in us, to qualify us for the good work He intended to bring about for us, (Ezekiel 36:25-27). Without Shavu ‘ot, we would not have the power to witness for Yeshua the Messiah about the Good News of Salvation for ALL people.

We cannot sanctify YAHWEH’s Name unless He sanctify our hearts, nor live to His Glory, but by His Grace.

All, Jews and non-Jews, that have an interest in the “Eternal Covenant”, and a title to the New Yerushalayim (New Jerusalem), have a new heart and a new spirit, and these are necessary in order to our walking in “newness of life”.

“Chag Shavu ‘ot Sameach” (Joyous Feast of Shavu ‘ot) to ALL the Isra’el Family, consisting of those who have been set apart, Jews and non-Jews, by Yeshua  the Messiah and called to be YAHWEH’s holy people.

Now for us, Jews and non-Jews Believers in the Messiah Yeshua, as YAHWEH in His Grace has put a new spirit among us and removed from our bodies the hearts of stone giving us hearts of flesh so we may live by His regulations, OBEY His rulings and act by them, may YAHWEH gives us UNITY of heart, not letting ourselves remaining split into factions but being restored to having a common mind and a common purpose, as we are His People, His “Spiritual Isra’el”, and He is our One and Only True Living Elohim (Ezekiel 11:18-20).

About Jacques Guillard

It is not that I have already obtained it or already reached the goal — no, I keep pursuing it in the hope of taking hold of that for which the Messiah Yeshua took hold of me.
